According to the August issue of Houston magazine, there has been a 15% increase in the rate of purchase for homes at or above the $1 million mark in desirable inner-Loop and Memorial areas in 2010: around 245 seven- and eight-figure homes sold from Jan. 1 - July 1 of 2010, as opposed to 213 during the same time in 2009.  Now is a great time to acquire a nice piece of property in a top-tier area of Houston that may ordinarily be well out of reach.
